About Me

When it comes to photography, I’m a humanist. The story for me is always people. A photographer with an eye for singular details, my perspective is influenced by growing up in Korea, the United States, Canada, and Nigeria. I’ve been both a local and a foreigner for most of my life, and this outsider positioning influences my work: I’m always curious.

I like things that are serendipitous. I pursue emotional content, and the kismet and confusion of documentary and photojournalism work.

How I tell stories matters to me. Photography is translation. I want to be an effective interpreter and capture people at their most honest.
